NEXT ART WALK JULY 6, 2007--FEATURED ARTIST, Jess Jordan
Hope you didn't miss the second Art Walk of 2007 on Friday, June 1st, 5-10 p.m. Julian's Piano Bar was thrilled to bring Bob Berisford, photographer into our little home to give us a merry view into the beautiful and the odd. Bob showed all new images.
Speaking of odd, beautiful things, George Groesbeck, Sr. was persuaded by the early Memorial Day Week snow to stay home in Butte, Montana for a while, leaving his frightful motorcycle snowed in at his garage, so he was at Julian's on June 1st at 8 p.m. to delight all the art critics and seduce all the women.

Talk Like A Pirate Day is September 19th, which is a Tuesday night. Yes, there will be a party, and yes, costumes are totally acceptable. We will lay in extra rations for the usual gang of idiots, the usual rules apply: leave your cutlasses and blunderbusses at the door (or better yet, leave them home!), and unaccompanied wenches are on their own. I cannot be responsible for this compliment of ruffians, rogues, scalliwags, dirty sea-dogs, tars, cabin boys, nasties, and bad actors. Keep a close watch on your timepieces and wallets! Better yet, give them to me, and I will be most happy to relieve you of its contents for grog. ARGH!!!!!!!

The Chelsea Bailey Animal Shelter, 699 Centennial, has started the Albert Angel Fund to pay for emergency surgery and veterinary care for animals at the shelter. Look for the red and tan doghouses provided by the Butte Sheltered Workshop to be used as donation boxes. A box will be available at Julian's. A benefit fundraiser was scheduled for March 31st (Friday) at Julian's starting at 5:30 p.m. for hors d'oeuvres and music at 8 p.m. with George Groesbeck and friends. The shelter raised nearly $1000 for the animals from the Julian's gang. Thanks to everyone who gave so generously! The shelter regularly has to take care of sick or injured animals picked up by animal control or dropped off at the shelter. Volunteers are always needed as well. Go to their website for more info.
